Avery E. Baumann is a first year ARCS/MWC Chapter Scholar at Johns Hopkins University working on her PhD in Chemistry. Avery's research focuses on developing lithium-sulfur batter materials. Avery is part of the Thoi Research Group. She also mentors local elementary school students in STEM and works with ChemDNA, a student organization that focuses on broadening diversity in STEM. In her spare time, Avery loves to cook and play team sports with friends!
