Michelle Karl is a first year scholar working towards her Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Karl is the 2018-19 MWC Endowment Scholar.  Her research is utilizing three-dimensional substrates and mammalian cancer cells to study physiologically relevant cell behavior and signaling pathways in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma, focusing on the steps in the metastasis, which are validated in clincally-relevant in vivo models.
